Kind Mind School Tour

We’re excited to introduce the Kind Mind School Tour, a new initiative from The Kelty Foundation, delivered in partnership with Vancouver’s top kids DJ, Rock’N'Beau!

This four-week program engages students, educators, and parents in meaningful conversations about kindness, emotional well-being, and mental health. Through fun activities, workbooks, and workshops, students gain valuable mental health tools that they can carry with them for years to come.

The month culminates in the high-energy Kind Mind Confi-DANCE, hosted by DJ Beau. The Confi-DANCE isn’t just a school dance — it’s a party with a purpose that creates a sense of belonging and connection. Students will celebrate together and take home important mental health tips that reinforce everything they’ve learned, building community and resilience.

This program is completely free for schools, thanks to The Kelty Foundation and their generous partners. Spots are limited for the 2025/2026 school year, so be sure to secure your place and join us for this exciting, impactful initiative!

FAQs

What Does it Cost The School?

Nothing at all. Thanks to the support of The Kelty Foundation and our generous donors, the entire Kind Mind Program — including Kind Mind Kits, student prizes, and the end-of-month school dance — is completely free.

All we ask is that your whole school community is ready to participate and commit to Kind Mind Month!

How does our school prepare for the Kind Mind program?

It’s easy! Just have your principal or school counsellor fill out the form below and a member from our team will be in touch!

We’ll help you choose a date — starting with your Confi-DANCE and working backward to plan the four weeks of Kind Mind Month. Once confirmed, we’ll send you a letter of commitment and deliver your Kind Mind Kits to classrooms a few days before your start date.

What’s in the Kind Mind Kit?

  • Challenge books for all students, each with a weekly activity to be completed at home with a parent/guardian, plus mental health resources at the back for reference

  • Magnets for families, each with a QR code linking to essential mental health resources

  • Backpack keychains for all students as a fun reminder of the program

  • A 2-minute video for teachers, included in the welcome letter with a QR code and link to play each week

  • A thumball for each teacher, complete with instructions for interactive classroom use

  • Stickers for teachers to reward and motivate students

  • Raffle tickets for participation throughout the month, with a chance to win a Kind Mind T-shirt prize at the end

  • Optional dance-a-thon fundraising forms to help raise additional support for the program

What Do Teachers Have to Do?

Don’t worry teachers! We know you already have a ton on your plate. That’s why our program is designed to be as easy as possible for you to integrate. All materials are designed for kids to do with their parents or caregivers so all you need to do is go over the challenges and give them stickers when complete! At the end of the month there's a draw to win the t-shirt prize.

What Grades is This For?

We have designed separate materials for K-1, 2-4, and 5-7. Schools also have the option to separate the dances into two hours, one for each group, or one full dance for 90 minutes. We realize some districts have middle schools and we are happy to tailor and customize the program to your school’s needs.

Confi-DANCE Celebration

The Confi-DANCE runs for up to 2 hours and is designed to be held in your gym or other community space where kids can dance the day away with DJ Rock'N'Beau at the helm. Dances can be arranged either during school hours with teacher attendance or in the evening with parent attendance and volunteers (teachers are welcome too, of course!)

Throughout the afternoon or evening DJ Rachel stresses the importance of kindness to self and others and will reflect on the lessons learned throughout the month. Her program is designed to create a sense of belonging and connection for students—one of the biggest preventive factors in mental health! DJ Rachel will keep the energy high throughout with rock’n good tunes, engagement prizes, sing-a-longs and dance-offs.
